Ripple has secured a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Florida Athletics, expanding the crypto company’s presence in college sports and bringing prominent XRP branding to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, widely known as “The Swamp.”

Florida Athletics announced that the partnership will begin with the 2026 Florida football season. Under the agreement, the XRP logo will be displayed prominently on the field during Gators games, giving the cryptocurrency significant exposure to college football audiences.

The agreement represents Ripple’s second major college sports partnership. In July, Ripple signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the Kansas Jayhawks that includes XRP branding on team jerseys.

Florida Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said the university has a history of adopting technology and innovation to improve its programs and fan experience. He described Ripple as an innovative financial technology company and said Florida looks forward to introducing XRP to Gator Nation.

The partnership extends beyond advertising and stadium branding. Ripple will also support financial and technology education programs for Florida student-athletes and the broader university community. The educational initiative is expected to cover traditional financial topics alongside digital assets and emerging financial technologies.

The deal could also provide Florida Athletics with a significant new revenue stream. According to the Associated Press, citing people familiar with the negotiations, Ripple’s sponsorship could generate as much as $5 million annually through XRP branding at The Swamp.

Ripple’s latest agreement comes as cryptocurrency companies increasingly use sports partnerships to expand mainstream brand recognition. Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, recently became a principal partner of Chelsea Football Club, while Galaxy Digital entered college athletics through an AI and crypto partnership with Texas Tech.

Major crypto exchanges have also established substantial sports sponsorship portfolios. Coinbase has partnerships with the NBA and WNBA, including the Seattle Storm, while exchanges such as OKX and Kraken have also invested in sports marketing.

For Ripple, the Florida Athletics agreement further positions XRP in front of mainstream sports audiences while combining brand exposure with education initiatives focused on finance and digital assets.
