Binance Adds THB Crypto Pairs, Expands Tokenized Stock Collateral

Binance is reshaping its trading ecosystem with new Thai baht crypto pairs, expanded tokenized stock collateral and the removal of several low-liquidity USDC markets.

The crypto exchange launched direct Thai baht (THB) spot trading pairs on September 16 for major digital assets including XRP, Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH) and BNB. The move gives traders access to these cryptocurrencies without first converting THB into stablecoins or other intermediary assets.

Direct fiat trading could reduce conversion costs and transaction friction for users in Thailand while improving liquidity for major cryptocurrencies. XRP's inclusion is particularly relevant to the Asian payments market, where Ripple has pursued opportunities involving cross-border transactions and financial institutions.

Binance is also strengthening connections between cryptocurrency markets and traditional finance. Starting September 16, the exchange's margin trading platform began accepting two bStocks tokens as collateral: tokenized Reddit shares (RDDTB) and GoPro shares (GPROB).

The tokenized equities are issued within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) jurisdiction. The collateral feature is currently limited to Binance customers with VIP 3 status or higher. Users cannot directly borrow the securities, but their addition provides another example of traditional financial assets being integrated into crypto trading infrastructure.

Alongside the expansion, Binance is removing several markets with insufficient trading activity. The exchange will discontinue four USDC spot trading pairs at 03:00 UTC on September 18.

The affected assets are Quant (QNT), Brevis (BREV), CookieDAO (COOKIE) and Lagrange (LA). The projects represent sectors ranging from blockchain interoperability and zero-knowledge technology to Web3 analytics and decentralized artificial intelligence verification.

The delisting applies only to the affected USDC pairs, meaning the tokens will remain available through other supported spot trading pairs on Binance.

Spot Trading Bots linked to the discontinued markets will also be terminated when trading ends. Binance has advised users operating bots or maintaining active orders on the affected pairs to update or cancel their positions before the September 18 deadline.
