Binance has notified cryptocurrency users of a scheduled wallet infrastructure upgrade on September 22, 2026, that will temporarily halt deposits and withdrawals across the exchange.

The major crypto exchange said the Binance wallet system upgrade will begin at 06:00 UTC and is expected to last approximately one hour. During the maintenance period, users will be unable to make cryptocurrency deposits or withdrawals. However, token trading on Binance will remain available and will not be affected by the upgrade.

Binance said deposits and withdrawals will resume once its wallet infrastructure is confirmed to be stable. The exchange added that it does not plan to issue a separate announcement when services reopen, meaning users may need to check the platform directly for availability.

The wallet maintenance comes alongside several changes to Binance's trading markets in September. Binance is set to remove four spot trading pairs on September 18 at 03:00 UTC: BREV/USDC, COOKIE/USDC, LA/USDC and QNT/USDC.

According to the exchange, spot trading pairs are periodically reviewed based on factors including liquidity and trading volume. Removing a specific pair does not mean the underlying cryptocurrency is being completely delisted from Binance Spot. Users may continue trading the affected assets through other available pairs.

Binance will also delist several margin trading pairs on September 18 at 06:00 UTC. The affected Cross Margin pairs are ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, GUN/USDC and VANA/USDC. GENIUS/USDC will also be removed from Isolated Margin trading.

Separately, Binance plans to delist all Pax Dollar (USDP) spot trading pairs on September 24 at 03:00 UTC following its latest market reviews.

Users planning to transfer cryptocurrency around September 22 may want to account for the temporary wallet maintenance window, while normal Binance trading services are expected to remain operational throughout the upgrade.
