Bitget has added an account-level setting that lets users limit leverage on contracts for difference (CFD) accounts, giving traders control over the maximum leverage available to them.

Users can choose from multiple caps ranging from 2x to 800x in their account settings. The feature applies to all CFD accounts.

The leverage used to open a position will be the lower of the user’s selected account cap and the applicable tiered leverage limit for the trading instrument. The account setting therefore does not override limits assigned to individual instruments.

Bitget app users must update to version 2.94.0 or later to access the feature.
