Binance will begin moving users’ crypto assets from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts on Sept. 29, separating crypto holdings from the account used for stock and stock-options trading settlement.

The migration is expected to continue through January 2027. Funding Accounts will stop accepting on-chain deposits when the process begins.

After the migration period ends, each Funding Account will be renamed the Stocks Account and will be used only for settling stock and stock-options trades. USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U and BNB will remain eligible for stock-trading settlement.

Other crypto assets will be handled through Spot Accounts for deposits and withdrawals. Users will have a one-click option to move their assets ahead of schedule.

Assets left in Funding Accounts will be transferred automatically in batches beginning in January 2027. The restructuring will not change users’ total asset values or the safety of their funds.
