MoonPay to Acquire North Capital in $60 Million-Plus Stock Deal
The acquisition would give MoonPay access to broker-dealer, ATS, transfer-agent and investment-adviser licenses as it expands into tokenized securities.

MoonPay plans to acquire North Capital Investment Technology in an all-stock deal valued at more than $60 million, expanding the crypto payments company into tokenized securities.
MoonPay has not disclosed the transaction value. North Capital provides custody and secondary-market trading services, along with technology for tokenizing debt and equity assets.
The Utah-based company holds U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-related licenses covering broker-dealer operations, an alternative trading system, transfer-agent services and investment advice. Those regulatory capabilities would give MoonPay infrastructure for developing tokenized stock and other securities businesses.
The deal is the latest step in MoonPay’s broader push beyond crypto payments and into financial-market infrastructure. The transaction remains an acquisition plan; no closing date was provided.
