Hut 8 Wins $140 Million Bid for Two Poolin Texas Data Centers

Hut 8 has won a $140 million bid for two Poolin data centers in Texas, which could expand the company’s U.S. crypto-mining and data-center infrastructure footprint pending court approval.
The transaction covers Poolin’s facilities in Pyote and Tarbush. The consideration includes cash and other forms of payment, but the deal still requires approval from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New Jersey.
The acquisition would add two Texas sites to Hut 8’s infrastructure portfolio as the company pursues expansion into artificial intelligence infrastructure. Hut 8’s development pipeline is about 8.7 gigawatts.
The next step is a review and ruling by the bankruptcy court before the transaction can close.
