China Life Disclosures Show About 118 Billion Yuan in 2026 Fund Subscriptions
The company announced commitments totaling about 118 billion yuan across three funds, including a planned 49.99 billion yuan contribution to a semiconductor fund.

China Life’s 2026 disclosures show announced subscriptions to three funds totaling about 118 billion yuan, including funds targeting artificial intelligence, integrated circuits and semiconductors.
A Jan. 24 filing detailed a 4 billion yuan commitment to the 汇智长三角 private fund. The fund has total subscribed capital of 50.515 billion yuan and targets artificial intelligence, integrated circuits and biomedicine.
A July board resolution approved China Life’s investment in the 晟和芯程 fund. A related investment announcement identified the semiconductor-focused fund’s total subscribed capital as 50 billion yuan and China Life’s planned contribution as 49.99 billion yuan.
China Life’s Sept. 8 report described its announced 2026 subscriptions to three funds as totaling about 118 billion yuan. The breakdown included 40 billion yuan for a Yangtze River Delta science-and-technology fund, 28 billion yuan for a Fujian fund and 49.99 billion yuan for the semiconductor fund.
The 4 billion yuan figure in the Jan. 24 filing differs from the 40 billion yuan figure in the Sept. 8 report for the Yangtze River Delta investment. The disclosures do not explain the difference, and China Life’s disclosures do not establish that either fund has fully deployed its committed capital.
The semiconductor fund has a planned eight-year base term, consisting of a two-year investment period and a six-year exit period. The fund agreement allows extensions.
China Life’s insurance-fund investments supporting technology self-reliance exceeded 510 billion yuan by the end of 2025.
