RockawayX is launching a $150 million initiative to bring private-credit and other yield-generating assets on-chain, expanding the digital-asset investor’s role in tokenized real-world assets.

The Catapult program will support tokenized credit products through venture capital, product structuring, liquidity, market-making and distribution. Its focus areas include trade and supply-chain finance, specialty asset-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations and real estate-related credit.

RockawayX’s strategy centers on using blockchain infrastructure for assets that are typically difficult to trade. On-chain markets can give market makers more opportunities to create exits even when the underlying investments have long redemption periods.

RockawayX also operates an early-stage venture fund, a market-neutral fund that provides liquidity to decentralized-finance protocols and a treasury business with about $300 million in assets. It acquired crypto hedge fund Relayer in August.
