Cardano Proposal Seeks 23 Million ADA for Fireblocks Integration
The plan would add support for Cardano Native Tokens alongside ADA and establish infrastructure for staking and governance delegation on Fireblocks.

A Cardano governance proposal seeks 23 million ADA to build infrastructure for institutional custody and transfers, including a native integration with Fireblocks that would extend planned support to Cardano Native Tokens (CNTs).
The Cardano Critical Integrations V2 proposal describes a full integration of the Cardano blockchain into Fireblocks’ institutional platform. The planned support covers Cardano’s ada (ADA) and CNTs, which are custom assets issued directly on the Cardano blockchain.
The proposal also includes technical foundations for ADA staking and governance delegation. Those capabilities would broaden the planned integration beyond custody and transfers to cover institutional workflows tied to network participation and governance.
The requested funding includes Fireblocks’ blockchain integration fee and the platform’s initial annual fee for the first year. The proposal does not specify the amount of either fee.
The funding request is subject to community review and voting. The proposal describes the integration as planned and does not establish that the proposal has passed or that the work has been completed.
Fireblocks began supporting ADA on Aug. 12, 2021, enabling users to store and transfer the asset through its platform. That support did not extend to other Cardano-native tokens.
Fireblocks lists Cardano and Cardano Testnet among its supported assets. The planned integration would expand that support to CNTs, although the proposal does not define whether every token using standards such as CIP-26 and CIP-68 would be included.
The proposal is broader than a standalone token listing because it treats Cardano as a natively supported blockchain within Fireblocks. Its next concrete step is community review and a governance vote on the 23 million ADA funding request.
