SoFi Bank has begun settling its full debit and credit card program through SoFiUSD on Mastercard’s global payments network, putting more than $25 billion in expected annualized card volume on a stablecoin settlement rail.

The transactions are live on the blockchain as SoFi migrates the entire card program to SoFiUSD, a stablecoin issued by the nationally chartered bank. The program includes both SoFi debit and credit cards.

The change affects settlement between payment participants, not the way consumers use their cards. Merchants do not need to hold SoFiUSD, build blockchain infrastructure or change their existing payment systems to receive settlement funds.

SoFi and Mastercard announced their partnership in March. SoFi launched SoFiUSD in December 2025 and made it available to users through its app in May.
