Aave V4 on Base now supports Coinbase tokenized shares as collateral for USDC loans, expanding the lending protocol’s use of tokenized assets while excluding U.S. users from access.

Aave founder Stani Kulechov announced the rollout. Eligible users can deposit the tokenized shares into the Aave V4 market on Base and borrow USDC against them.

The service is available only to users in qualifying jurisdictions outside the United States. The restriction means U.S. users cannot access the tokenized-share collateral market through this launch.

The deployment connects tokenized equity exposure with borrowing on Aave V4, with USDC serving as the loan asset.
