XRP Whales Accumulate More Than 470 Million as Ripple Adds RLUSD Integration
The tokens were valued at more than $720 million as holders of BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL gained a 24/7 route to exchange shares for RLUSD.

Large XRP holders accumulated more than 470 million tokens over five days, a buying wave valued at more than $720 million as Ripple added a new institutional use case for its RLUSD stablecoin.
Ripple and Securitize introduced a smart contract allowing holders of BlackRock’s BUIDL and VanEck’s VBILL to exchange their shares for RLUSD around the clock. The two funds are their companies’ first tokenized products on public blockchains.
The arrangement creates another stablecoin off-ramp for BUIDL and VBILL. It also supports on-chain transfers while preserving holders’ exposure to on-chain yield and decentralized finance strategies.
“RLUSD is for institutional use, offering regulatory clarity, stability, and real utility,” said Jack McDonald, Ripple’s senior vice president of stablecoins. “As adoption grows, partnerships with trusted platforms like Securitize are key to unlocking new liquidity and enterprise-grade use cases.”
The integration is the first between RLUSD and Securitize’s platform. The companies plan to pursue additional collaborations, while Securitize plans to integrate with the XRP Ledger.
The latest accumulation followed a period of sharp movement in XRP. Large holders had acquired more than 1.5 billion XRP over 96 hours the previous week.
The five-day accumulation was valued at more than $720 million, with the total also listed at about $724 million. Both figures correspond to purchases of more than 470 million XRP during the period.
