OpenAI Renames ChatGPT Pro’s 5x and 20x Plans on Pricing Page
The existing plans are now called Pro Standard and Pro More, while detailed usage descriptions were removed from the pricing page.
OpenAI renamed ChatGPT Pro’s existing 5x and 20x plans “Pro Standard” and “Pro More,” respectively, while removing detailed descriptions of the related usage levels from its pricing page.
The changes alter how the plans are presented, while speculation has focused on whether ChatGPT plans could eventually be organized around users’ AI usage intensity and workload instead of fixed usage multipliers.
The adjustments follow OpenAI’s pause on new sign-ups for its $200 ChatGPT Pro plan on Sept. 10, 2026. Existing subscribers remained active, while the $100 Pro plan continued to be available.
The 5x and 20x labels previously described usage levels relative to ChatGPT Plus. The new names, Pro Standard and Pro More, remove those multipliers from the plan titles, while the pricing page no longer provides the same detailed usage descriptions.
