Gate’s traditional-finance business is showing sharply different volume measures in September, with metals alone estimated at $18.3 billion through Sept. 22 as the exchange expands its range of market products.

Metals represented 54.2% of Gate’s tracked TradFi volume during that period. The estimate indicates that activity in commodities has become a significant part of the platform’s traditional-market business after a quieter summer period.

Gate’s TradFi platform covered more than 1,000 assets in August. Its listed products included 680 CFD trading pairs and 408 ETF trading pairs.

August ETF trading volume was approximately $20 billion. Gate’s offering also includes stocks, CFDs, tokenized equities and other traditional-market products as it develops a broader multi-asset financial platform.

The wider crypto TradFi sector exceeded $1.3 trillion in trading volume during the first half of 2026. Derivatives accounted for 98.59% of that total, underscoring the role of leveraged products in the market.

Gate’s share of the TradFi market ranged from 3.7% to 13.5% during 2026 and reached 10.7% in August. Those figures place the exchange among the larger crypto platforms competing for traditional-market trading activity.

The available figures cover different products and periods, so they do not establish one comparable September volume total. They do show that Gate’s TradFi business now spans multiple market categories, with metals and derivatives forming important parts of the reported activity.
