Nvidia approved an additional $80 billion share-repurchase authorization as strong artificial-intelligence demand lifted fiscal first-quarter revenue to $81.615 billion and free cash flow to $48.554 billion.
The board approved the authorization May 18, 2026, without an expiration date. Nvidia had $38.5 billion remaining under its previous authorization as of April 26, bringing its available repurchase capacity to approximately $118.5 billion.
The company repurchased 108 million shares for $20.2 billion during fiscal first-quarter 2027, which ended April 26. Revenue increased 85% from a year earlier and 20% from the prior quarter, while Data Center revenue rose 92% to $75.2 billion.
Nvidia also raised its quarterly dividend to 25 cents per share from 1 cent. The dividend is scheduled for June 26 for shareholders of record June 4.
Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang said the buildout of AI factories was accelerating at “extraordinary speed.” The company forecast fiscal second-quarter revenue of $91 billion, plus or minus 2%, while assuming no Data Center compute revenue from China.
