Tether, Shiga Expand Self-Custody Products Across Africa, Gulf
The partnership will use Tether’s open-source Wallet Development Kit to support digital-asset holding, transfers, payments and settlement services.

Tether is partnering with Shiga to develop self-custody financial products for users and institutions across Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council region, expanding access to digital-asset holding and payment tools.
The products will support holding and transferring USD₮, Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether Gold (XAU₮) through Tether’s open-source Wallet Development Kit, known as WDK.
Shiga’s ENTA product is designed for individuals, high-net-worth users and businesses. Its Pulse platform targets banks and financial technology companies building digital-asset payment, treasury-management and settlement services.
Shiga is in the final stage of approval for a digital-asset intermediary license in Nigeria.
