Strategy Acquires 1,665 Bitcoin and Repurchases $151.7 Million in STRC

The company’s Bitcoin holdings reached 847,666 BTC after the purchase, while proceeds from MSTR sales funded both the acquisition and preferred-stock buyback.

Strategy acquired 1,665 Bitcoin (BTC) for $142.7 million between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27 while repurchasing $151.7 million of its STRC preferred stock, expanding its digital-asset holdings and continuing its capital-management program.

The purchase price averaged $85,681 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses. Strategy’s total holdings reached 847,666 BTC as of Sept. 27, with an aggregate acquisition cost of $63.95 billion and an average cost of $75,437 per coin.

The company repurchased 1,534,530 shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, known by the ticker STRC, during the week. It also sold 1,469,165 shares of its MSTR common stock through an at-the-market offering, generating $246.2 million in net proceeds.

Strategy allocated $142.7 million of those proceeds to the Bitcoin purchase and $103.5 million to the STRC repurchases. The transactions were disclosed in a Form 8-K filed Sept. 28.

Strategy reported a $5.02 billion U.S. dollar reserve and $1 billion in cash as of Sept. 27.
