Revolut Wins Approval to Acquire Banco Cetelem Argentina
Banco Cetelem Argentina will be renamed Revolut Bank Argentina S.A.U. after closing and initially will not offer products or services to the public.
Revolut received approval from Argentina’s central bank to acquire Banco Cetelem Argentina, a transaction intended to support the digital bank’s future launch in the country.
After the transaction closes, Banco Cetelem Argentina will be renamed Revolut Bank Argentina S.A.U. and operate as a licensed bank. The institution will initially not offer products or services to the public.
Revolut Bank Argentina S.A.U. must complete the remaining regulatory and operational requirements before local services begin.
