Gold Circuit Brings In Amazon and Approves 79 Billion-Taiwan-Dollar Expansion
The Taiwan-based PCB maker will issue 1,856,308 shares to Amazon at NT$856 each, giving the retailer about 0.3% of the company after dilution.

Taiwan-based Gold Circuit Electronics approved a private placement for Amazon on Sept. 29 and a 79 billion Taiwan-dollar expansion plan, linking the investment to additional capacity for high-end server and networking products.
Amazon will subscribe to 1,856,308 shares at NT$856 each. The shares are expected to represent about 0.3% of Gold Circuit’s diluted equity and will be subject to a three-year transfer lockup under Taiwan’s securities rules.
Gold Circuit’s board also approved 38 billion Taiwan dollars for new-factory land and 41 billion Taiwan dollars for construction and production equipment. The company plans to begin investing in stages in the fourth quarter of 2026 and expects to fund the project mainly through unsecured convertible bonds.
The move comes as Gold Circuit expands capacity for high-end server and switch boards used in artificial-intelligence and networking infrastructure. Gold Circuit trades in Taiwan under the symbol 2368.
