Bitcoin.de has kept cryptocurrency trading suspended since late June while its operator awaits authorization under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, or MiCA, before restarting the service.

The German platform is operated by Bitcoin Group SE’s wholly owned subsidiary, futurum bank AG. The company has not set a date for trading to resume.

A replacement bitcoin.de website and trading app have completed development, functionality checks and security testing. The redesigned platform is planned to support more than 100 crypto assets, savings plans, Crypto Swap and dynamic staking.

Bitcoin Group’s revenue was €1.59 million ($1.8 million) in the first half of 2026. EBITDA was negative €3.25 million ($3.69 million).

Trading will remain paused until the MiCA authorization process is completed.
