Lumia’s community is voting on a proposal to use the foundation treasury for a one-time 0.09 USDT-per-token buyback of HyperNode rewards, ending the existing program.

Governance proposal LGP-01 would cover about 18 years of remaining HyperNode rewards at a fixed price of 0.09 USDT for each Lumia (LUMIA) token. The proposed price is more than 10% above LUMIA/USDT’s 30-day time-weighted average price of $0.0812.

Under the proposal, all LUMIA recovered through the buyback would be transferred to the Lumia Foundation Growth Initiative. The initiative would support projects involving real-world assets, AI agents, government and sovereign blockchain deployments, institutional partnerships, liquidity and the developer ecosystem.

The proposal would end the current HyperNode rewards program. It would not create additional LUMIA or increase the token’s total supply.
