Bitcoin Japan Completes First Purchase of 11.9188 BTC

The company bought the Bitcoin at an average price of $83,857.43 and plans further purchases under a ¥662 million investment cap.

Bitcoin Japan completed its first Bitcoin (BTC) purchase through subsidiary BTC JPN Ltd., adding 11.9188 BTC as the Japanese company shifts toward digital assets and other new businesses.

The purchase took place Sept. 28 at an average price of $83,857.43 per Bitcoin, bringing the total to about $999,500.

Bitcoin Japan plans to continue buying Bitcoin within a total investment limit of ¥662 million.

The company traces its origins to a Japanese textile business founded in 1861. Formerly known as Hotta Marusho, it changed its name in 2025 while shifting toward digital assets and other new businesses.
