Jeonbuk Bank Completes Solana Stablecoin Cross-Border Remittance Test
The Korean bank used a private Solana channel and kept counterparties and transfer amounts off the public blockchain during the proof of concept.

Jeonbuk Bank completed a stablecoin cross-border remittance proof of concept with Solana Foundation and Node Infra, testing a bank-managed process from Korean won deposits through local-bank payment.
The Korean bank, part of JB Financial Group, used a private Solana channel to keep transfer counterparties and amounts from being publicly disclosed on-chain. Only deposited funds and final settlement results were recorded on the public blockchain.
The test included stablecoin exchanges within the bank’s custody system rather than through an external cross-chain bridge. It also covered cross-border settlement and payment through a local bank.
Jeonbuk Bank plans to connect the technology with Bravo Korea, its service for foreign residents, after South Korea establishes the relevant systems. The project positions Solana-based stablecoin infrastructure for potential use in bank-operated remittance services.
