OpenAI has launched a software marketplace that lets eligible enterprise customers apply some third-party software spending toward their agreed OpenAI consumption commitments.

The marketplace includes 32 partners, including Adobe, Figma, Salesforce, ServiceNow, HubSpot, Harvey, Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike. The arrangement expands the ways enterprise customers can satisfy spending amounts set in their OpenAI contracts.

Customers can browse products through the marketplace, but purchases are not completed there. Customers continue to sign contracts with the software partners, which issue the invoices. OpenAI then applies eligible spending toward the customer’s agreed consumption amount.

The structure connects OpenAI’s enterprise customer base with software vendors while giving participating companies another distribution channel. It also links software purchasing to the broader reach of ChatGPT and OpenAI’s business products.

Sam Altman has identified the marketplace as part of OpenAI’s enterprise strategy, positioning software distribution alongside the company’s business customer relationships.
