Stripe-Backed Bridge Launches OUSD Stablecoin for Businesses
OUSD supports 1:1 minting and redemption through Mastercard, Stripe and Visa platforms, with Coinbase support scheduled to begin Oct. 1.

Bridge, a Stripe subsidiary, has launched Open USD (OUSD), a stablecoin designed for businesses and developers building financial services and products in the U.S. payments and digital-asset markets.
Businesses can access OUSD through Mastercard, Stripe and Visa stablecoin platforms. Each platform supports free minting and redemption at a 1:1 ratio.
OUSD reserves are held by BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY Mellon. Monthly reserve attestations are planned, giving users a recurring view of the assets backing the token.
The stablecoin will natively support Base, Ethereum, Solana and Tempo. It will initially be available on Coinbase, Kraken and Uniswap, with Coinbase support scheduled to begin Oct. 1.
Open Standard said its partner network now exceeds 200 companies. Partners may receive rewards based on the supply they drive and their activity, along with an opportunity to receive equity in Open Standard.
