Destro AI secured an $8 million seed round to scale its warehouse-automation software and fund new deployments and product work.

The financing was led jointly by Base10 Partners and Bonfire Ventures, while CoFound Partners also invested. The company will direct the proceeds toward broader customer rollouts, continued work on MothershipOS and VisionOS, and additional engineering and research staff.

MothershipOS coordinates people, robots and warehouse workflows while synchronizing enterprise systems. The software monitors warehouse conditions, allocates tasks, runs simulations and manages activity across human and robotic workers.

VisionOS runs on robots and provides perception and manipulation capabilities at the edge. It identifies products, counts inventory and performs pick-and-place tasks.

“Everyone is building capable robots,” said Manthan Pawar, founder and CEO of Destro AI. “We believe the next breakthrough won’t come from another robot. It will come from the intelligence layer that enables any robot to work together.”

Yusen Logistics is using the platform in its transload operations. The initial deployment coordinates cart movements involving employees and autonomous mobile robots. Pallet movement and AI-powered workflow verification are future evaluation areas.

“Automation is most effective when it helps our people work smarter while improving service, reliability, and operational performance,” said Rick Brunelle, director of automation at Yusen Logistics (Americas).

Destro said it has production deployments with third-party logistics providers and generated commercial revenue less than one year after its founding. The company did not disclose revenue, customer counts, contract values or valuation figures.

The funding will support Destro’s next phase of enterprise deployments, MothershipOS and VisionOS development, and expansion of its engineering and research teams.
