OUSD Launches With Five Partners Pledging More Than $1 Billion
The dollar-pegged stablecoin supports payments, settlement and foreign exchange across Base, Ethereum, Solana and Tempo.

OUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Stripe subsidiary Bridge, launched with five founding partners pledging more than $1 billion in liquidity over the coming months.
Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa are the initial partners and investors in Open Standard, the network behind OUSD. Their individual investment amounts and ownership stakes were not disclosed.
OUSD supports payment orchestration, settlement, trading, foreign exchange, wallets and card services. Businesses and developers can mint or redeem the token at a 1-to-1 ratio with the U.S. dollar at no fee.
The stablecoin will operate natively on Base, Ethereum, Solana and Tempo, and is initially available through Coinbase, Kraken and Uniswap. Coinbase integration is set to open Oct. 1.
BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY Mellon hold OUSD’s reserve assets. Open Standard plans to publish monthly proof-of-reserves updates as it expands the network beyond its initial five founding partners.
