Micron plans to increase capital returns to shareholders beginning Dec. 9, 2026, with stock buybacks expected to account for most of the additional distributions.

The company plans to return 100% of its excess cash to shareholders over time. The expanded capital-return plan follows fiscal 2026’s fourth quarter, when Micron generated $44 billion in operating cash flow and $33.2 billion in free cash flow.

Dec. 9 will mark two years since Micron signed its final agreement under the CHIPS Act. The company’s buyback increase is scheduled to begin on that date.
