HPE Secures $1.2 Billion Vultr Order for AMD Helios AI Systems
The U.S. deployment includes HPE networking hardware and software. The order comes as HPE sets separate targets for networking revenue growth and operating margins.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise secured a $1.2 billion order from cloud provider Vultr for AMD Helios AI Rack systems at Vultr’s U.S. data centers, including networking equipment and software for the artificial intelligence deployment.
The order is HPE’s first for AMD Helios AI Rack systems. The company did not disclose how much of the contract covers networking, or provide shipment dates or a revenue-recognition schedule.
Separately, HPE raised its fiscal 2027 networking revenue growth outlook to the high-teens to low-20s percentage range at its Sept. 30 Networking Investor Day. It also set a fiscal 2027 networking operating margin target in the mid-to-high 20s percentage range and projected high-teens annual networking revenue growth from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2029.
Those targets follow a fiscal third quarter of 2026 in which networking revenue reached $2.9 billion, up 74.9% from a year earlier. The segment’s operating profit margin was 22.0%. The quarter ended July 31, 2026.
HPE said it doubled its quarter-over-quarter networking supply purchase commitments in the third quarter to support demand and address supply constraints entering fiscal 2027.
“AI is reshaping the technology stack, making the network more strategic and driving significant new demand from enterprises and service providers,” Rami Rahim, HPE’s executive vice president, president and general manager of Networking, said.
