SBI DigiTrust, NICE and DSRV Plan Stablecoin Payment Validation
The companies will examine QR-code payments by Japanese tourists at South Korean merchants affiliated with NICE Information Communication, with the work targeted to finish by the end of December 2026.
SBI DigiTrust, NICE Information Communication and DSRV will jointly validate a potential stablecoin payment and remittance system linking Japan and South Korea, examining a QR-code payment scenario for Japanese tourists in South Korea.
The validation will examine a scenario in which Japanese tourists pay by QR code at South Korean merchants affiliated with NICE Information Communication, a payment provider.
The companies will assess fund flows, payment instructions and system connectivity.
The work is targeted for completion by the end of December 2026.
