Rialo is discussing exploratory blockchain projects with several South Korean financial institutions; the firms, specific projects and launch dates have not been publicly identified.
The discussions concern proof-of-concept work, an early stage used to assess whether an idea can work. Rialo is seeking to connect financial services with blockchain networks through the exploratory projects.
Rialo describes its Edge product as a way for applications to connect with web services and its IPC as a set of identity, privacy and compliance functions.
Rialo Chief Business Officer Bobby Zagotta outlined a possible lending application involving tokenized stocks held through Robinhood and Ether (ETH) on the Ethereum network as collateral, alongside borrower information kept offchain. He presented the combination as a potential use case, not a live product.
Rialo said May 7 that Cboe market data was being integrated into its infrastructure.
Subzero Labs introduced Rialo in Sept. 2025 as a blockchain designed to connect with real-world services. Whether Rialo’s design leads to production deployments with financial institutions remains to be seen.
