Erebor Bank’s deposits climbed to $4.06 billion by June 30, nearly quadrupling in three months and giving the newly chartered Columbus, Ohio-based bank a sizable early deposit base.

Deposits increased by $2.96 billion from $1.10 billion on March 31. At the end of June, Erebor had $4.17 billion in cash and balances due from other banks, alongside $376.1 million in securities and $77.2 million in net loans and leases.

The bank received a federal national bank charter on Feb. 6, 2026. Its approved business plan focuses on companies and individuals in technology, payment systems, investment and defense, including participants in virtual currency markets.

Erebor’s expansion comes in a startup-banking sector reshaped by the 2023 collapse of Silicon Valley Bank, which served many startups and venture-backed companies. Erebor’s quarter-end figures show its overall deposit balance and assets, but do not break deposits down by industry.
