A fire halted operations Oct. 6 at Venezuela’s second-largest refinery, Cardón, disrupting a facility with capacity of 310,000 barrels per day within the 955,000-barrel-per-day Paraguana Refining Center.
State-owned PDVSA operates Cardón, which is part of Venezuela’s largest refining center.
Emergency teams remained deployed at the complex to control the fire and determine its cause.
