Payward Lists 6.6 Million Funded Kraken Accounts as Platform Expands
A later estimate put Kraken’s worldwide funded-account total at about 7 million, while Payward’s latest formal disclosure listed $508 million in second-quarter adjusted revenue.

Kraken’s confirmed funded-account base reached 6.6 million as of June 30, 2026, giving parent company Payward a larger customer base as it expands the platform beyond crypto trading.
Payward’s latest formal disclosure showed the total rose 42% from a year earlier. A later estimate put Kraken’s worldwide funded-account total at about 7 million, but that figure was not separately reported as a quarter-end company metric.
Payward defines a funded account as a customer account with a balance greater than zero at the reporting date. Subaccounts are counted separately, so the measure does not represent a count of unique people.
The company posted $508 million in adjusted revenue for the second quarter, a 17% increase from the same period a year earlier. It also listed $40 billion in assets on its platform as of June 30.
Payward says its platform includes trading, banking, asset management and business-to-business infrastructure services and operates in more than 190 countries and territories. Its expansion includes traditional futures, equities, tokenized equities, cards, lending and payments.
Payward paid $1.5 billion for futures platform NinjaTrader and $550 million for derivatives exchange Bitnomial. The acquisitions add services beyond Kraken’s core spot-crypto business and support the company’s broader financial-platform strategy.
The account figure comes as Payward expands Kraken into financial infrastructure, adding products intended to serve customers across multiple financial markets.
