Hyperliquid plans to add options trading to its decentralized exchange, giving users another tool to manage positions alongside spot and perpetual futures on its HyperCore blockchain.

The planned options market would let users hedge spot and perpetual-futures positions through the same order books. The expansion would broaden Hyperliquid’s derivatives lineup and add another instrument for strategy execution.

Hyperliquid already supports spot trading and perpetual futures on HyperCore, its Layer-1 blockchain. The platform processed about $2.9 trillion in volume in 2025 and held roughly 59% to 60% of open interest in on-chain derivatives.

The options addition would extend the trading functions available through Hyperliquid’s existing on-chain infrastructure.
