Circle Brings USDC and EURC Into SAP-Linked Enterprise Payments

Circle and Tereina will bring USDC and EURC into SAP Cloud ERP payments, extending stablecoin use in enterprise workflows as U.S. markets await fresh labor data Thursday.

The integration will be available to SAP customers through SAP Pay, a business-to-business payments service embedded in SAP Cloud ERP. Tereina provides the service, which supports cross-border payments across 89 corridors and more than 40 currencies, including USDC-based digital-currency payments.

USDC will be the preferred stablecoin for eligible U.S.-dollar payment workflows, while EURC will be used for euro-denominated activity. The arrangement targets an SAP ecosystem representing 84% of global commerce.

“Stablecoins are increasingly becoming a core infrastructure layer for global commerce,” Circle co-founder, Chairman and CEO Jeremy Allaire said.

The partnership is part of Circle’s broader effort to position stablecoin issuance, payment infrastructure and the Arc blockchain as an enterprise financial platform. The partnership is intended to place Circle’s stablecoins inside existing business-payment workflows.

The U.S. Department of Labor will release weekly Unemployment Insurance Claims Thursday at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 p.m. UTC). The figures provide a regular view of labor-market conditions and are part of the economic data watched ahead of Federal Reserve policy decisions.

The Federal Reserve released minutes Wednesday from its Sept. 15–16 meeting, adding another policy-related event to the week’s calendar. The next scheduled step for markets is Thursday’s jobless-claims release.
