TSMC Reports Record Third-Quarter Revenue of $46.71 Billion
Revenue rose 50% year over year and exceeded the LSEG SmartEstimate of NT$1.46 trillion as AI demand drove semiconductor sales.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) posted record third-quarter revenue of NT$1.49 trillion, or $46.71 billion, as artificial-intelligence demand drove semiconductor sales and quarterly revenue exceeded the market forecast.
Revenue increased 50% from a year earlier and surpassed the LSEG SmartEstimate of NT$1.46 trillion.
TSMC’s September revenue reached NT$511.86 billion, or $16.03 billion, up 54.6% from the same month a year earlier. Monthly revenue declined 0.6% from August.
The Taiwan-based company is the world’s largest contract chipmaker. It manufactures semiconductors for companies including Nvidia and Apple, with demand for advanced chips supported by expanding investment in data centers and AI infrastructure.
TSMC is scheduled to report its full third-quarter earnings on Oct. 15 at 2 a.m. ET (0600 UTC).
