Standard Chartered Expands Digital-Asset Custody to Singapore
The service will support institutional and eligible corporate clients holding Bitcoin, stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets under local regulatory requirements.

Standard Chartered announced Thursday that it is expanding its digital-asset custody business to Singapore, giving institutional and eligible corporate clients access to custody for Bitcoin, stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets.
The service will operate under local regulatory requirements, with supported digital assets subject to screening. The announcement did not provide a detailed list of individual tokens or products.
The Singapore expansion adds to Standard Chartered’s broader push into digital-asset infrastructure. The bank has also developed crypto-related services in the United Arab Emirates, including spot trading for Bitcoin and Ether for institutional clients.
Singapore’s role as a financial center and its established framework for digital-asset services make it a key market for banks serving institutions across Asia. The new custody offering positions Standard Chartered to support clients seeking regulated access to digital assets and blockchain-based financial products.
