MediaTek Posts NT$168.057B Third-Quarter Revenue Above Forecast
September revenue fell 13.69% from August but rose 1.97% year over year, while nine-month revenue reached NT$469.391 billion.

MediaTek’s third-quarter revenue reached NT$168.057 billion, topping its forecast as September sales rose from a year earlier despite a monthly decline.
The chip-design company’s quarterly revenue exceeded its projected range of NT$152.2 billion to NT$159.8 billion by NT$8.257 billion. Revenue increased about 18.3% from the same period a year earlier.
September consolidated revenue totaled NT$55.399 billion, down 13.69% from NT$64.183 billion in August but up 1.97% from a year earlier. August revenue had risen from NT$48.475 billion in July.
Revenue for the first nine months of 2026 reached NT$469.391 billion, an increase of 5.3% from the same period last year.
MediaTek had projected third-quarter revenue would be roughly flat to 5% higher than the previous quarter and 7% to 12% higher annually. Growth in flagship smartphone system-on-chip shipments was expected to offset weaker demand in some product categories.
The company’s smart-device platform business was expected to grow 4% to 9% from the second quarter in the third quarter. MediaTek is also developing custom application-specific integrated circuits for data-center artificial-intelligence accelerators.
Its first data-center AI accelerator ASIC is expected to enter mass production in the fourth quarter of 2026. MediaTek has set a goal of generating more than $2 billion in annual data-center revenue.
