Advanced Micro Devices posted record second-quarter revenue and more than doubled Data Center revenue year over year, highlighting continued demand for its processors and graphics products.

AMD’s earnings release did not establish what drove the market reaction to the results.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 27 reached $11.536 billion, up 50% from $7.685 billion a year earlier. Data Center revenue rose 107% to $6.7 billion, making the segment AMD’s largest growth engine and accounting for 58% of total quarterly revenue.

Growth reflected demand for EPYC processors and Instinct MI350-series graphics processing units. AMD posted GAAP net income of $2.297 billion, or diluted earnings per share of $1.38.

“We delivered an excellent quarter, with record revenue and profitability as Data Center revenue more than doubled year-over-year,” AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su said.

AMD forecast third-quarter 2026 revenue of approximately $13 billion, with a range of $300 million above or below that figure. The company expects non-GAAP gross margin of approximately 56%.

The midpoint of the forecast would represent roughly 41% year-over-year revenue growth. The outlook is forward-looking and does not represent reported third-quarter results.

“We expect Data Center sales to accelerate in the second half of 2026, driving stronger overall revenue growth and continued earnings expansion,” AMD Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Jean Hu said.
