Samsung is preparing to offer Bastion-powered stablecoin accounts to a potential user base of up to 82 million, expanding access to digital-currency services through its device ecosystem.

The accounts are expected to roll out on Oct. 20. Bastion will provide the technology supporting the accounts, while Samsung’s large user base could give stablecoins a wider path into everyday financial activity.

Stablecoins are digital currencies typically pegged to stable assets and used for transactions and savings.

The planned integration comes as stablecoins gain broader attention across financial technology. If launched as expected, the service would give Samsung users a direct way to access stablecoin transactions through Bastion-powered accounts.
