NovaGold Targets 100% Donlin Gold Ownership by Year-End
The proposed consolidation remains subject to approvals, permitting and litigation matters, with a bankable feasibility study targeted for 2027.

NovaGold Resources Inc. expects to consolidate 100% ownership of Donlin Gold by year-end, positioning the company as a premier U.S. gold developer ahead of a feasibility study targeted for 2027.
The proposed transaction remains subject to shareholder approval, regulatory and court conditions, along with ongoing permitting and litigation matters. NovaGold has targeted completion of a bankable feasibility study in 2027.
The company held $343.4 million in cash and term deposits as of Aug. 31, 2026. NovaGold contributed $24.8 million toward Donlin funding during the third quarter. Those figures were included in the company’s third-quarter results.
NovaGold has appointed financial advisers, giving the company additional funding flexibility for the feasibility study and related costs. The transaction plan includes a series of definitive agreements entered into July 21.
Shareholder approval and the remaining regulatory, court, permitting and litigation conditions are the next steps for the proposed consolidation.
