Richardson Electronics expects Green Energy Solutions (GES) revenue to grow at a double-digit rate in fiscal 2027, with about 75% of its backlog scheduled to ship during the year.

The company’s operating income improved fivefold year over year to $5.1 million as fiscal 2027 began with stronger sales growth and wider gross margins.

Richardson Electronics also pointed to strong performance in its Power and Microwave Technologies business, particularly in semiconductor and radio-frequency and microwave segments.

The business environment remains subject to macroeconomic uncertainty. Tariff refunds have provided support but are sporadic and are not expected to recur at the same level in the next quarter.

Variable supply-chain costs and project-based revenue fluctuations also remain risks as Richardson Electronics works through its backlog during fiscal 2027.
