Robinhood Adds $25 Million of Bitcoin to Its Balance Sheet
Crypto executive Johann Kerbrat said the purchase signals Robinhood’s commitment to Bitcoin and its broader digital-asset strategy.

Robinhood has purchased $25 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC), adding the cryptocurrency to its balance sheet as the trading platform expands its digital-asset business.
Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood’s crypto vice president, said the purchase reflects the company’s commitment to Bitcoin and its ecosystem. He described the move as a way to align Robinhood’s vision with the values of the crypto community.
The purchase is small compared with Robinhood’s roughly $100 billion market value. Kerbrat said the amount would not change the company’s existing trajectory, but it gives Robinhood a direct balance-sheet connection to the asset.
Robinhood is also preparing to offer perpetual futures for Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink and HYPE to eligible US users within several months. The contracts would have no expiration date and settle profit and loss every 15 minutes.
The company’s broader crypto expansion includes Robinhood Chain, whose total value locked has surpassed $1.05 billion, and tokenized US stocks that can trade around the clock. Robinhood Wallet is available in more than 120 countries, while the company has about 28 million funded accounts, including 27 million in the US.
