Meta has immediately blocked advertisements from TikTok parent ByteDance across its platforms in the United States and six other countries, limiting the company’s access to major digital ad markets.

The restriction applies in the United States, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam.

ByteDance owns TikTok, whose advertising presence spans international markets. The ban removes ByteDance advertisements from Meta’s platforms in each of the seven countries covered by the action.
