STARRY SEA ACQUISITION CORP. postponed its shareholder meeting to Oct. 19 and extended its redemption deadline, giving investors more time to consider proposals tied to its planned business combination.

The extraordinary general meeting in lieu of an annual general meeting will begin at 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC), 10 days after its previously scheduled Oct. 9 meeting at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC). The meeting will remain at Torres & Zheng at Law, P.C., 450 Seventh Avenue, Suite 2104, in New York, with a live webcast available through ClearTrust Online.

Shareholders now have until 5 p.m. ET (21:00 UTC) on Oct. 15 to submit redemption requests, extending the previous Oct. 7 deadline. Existing redemption requests can be withdrawn through Oct. 15; withdrawals after that date require the company’s consent.

The company said the meeting location, the close-of-business Sept. 16 record date and the proposals will remain unchanged. Voting eligibility remains tied to ownership at the Sept. 16 record date, including for shareholders who later sold their shares.

The proposals include amendments that would give STARRY SEA additional time to complete an initial business combination. STARRY SEA announced a proposed business combination with SuperiorMed Holdings Limited on Aug. 22.

The business combination cannot close until shareholders approve it and the remaining closing requirements are satisfied. The rescheduled meeting on Oct. 19 is the next step for shareholders to consider the proposals.
