CaixaBank Extends Google Cloud Collaboration Through 2033

CaixaBank has extended its collaboration with Google Cloud through 2033, adding planned artificial-intelligence tools for financial analysis and routine employee work.

The expanded agreement builds on a relationship that began in 2023 and combines AI, data management and cloud infrastructure. CaixaBank plans to deploy Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud’s platform for creating, governing and managing AI agents.

The bank’s teams are expected to use the tools to condense complex financial information, automate repetitive tasks and organize documents. Specialized AI agents will also summarize detailed material, classify files and support internal decision-making.

The collaboration includes three main areas: data analytics and AI agents, hybrid infrastructure and security, and workforce training. CaixaBank plans to connect its private technology environment with Google Cloud’s secure infrastructure to expand capacity, improve service availability and strengthen resilience.

The agreement also includes threat detection and security monitoring under CaixaBank’s existing governance, security and privacy arrangements. Professional services, joint initiatives and training courses will help employees incorporate AI and data tools into their daily work.

The collaboration is scheduled to continue through 2033.
