Pilgrim’s Pride Board Forms Committee to Review JBS Proposal

Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation’s board has formed a special committee of independent and disinterested directors to review JBS’ unsolicited proposal.

The committee selected Ropes & Gray LLP as legal counsel as it evaluates the proposal, which JBS announced in August.

The committee’s formation places the review with directors designated as independent from the parties involved.
