Anchorage Digital Offers Bitcoin Treasury Firms Two Routes Into Sui Hashi
The Atlas and Porto infrastructure is designed for qualified-custody and self-custody users as Hashi prepares a phased mainnet rollout later in Oct. 2026.

Anchorage Digital joined Sui’s Hashi as a day-one launch partner, offering public companies and digital-asset treasury companies two potential routes to use Bitcoin (BTC) as collateral without selling it.
The routes are Atlas, Anchorage’s tri-party settlement and collateral infrastructure for clients using qualified custody, and Porto, its institutional self-custody wallet. Public companies with BTC on their balance sheets and digital-asset treasury companies are among the potential Atlas users.
Porto is designed for crypto-native venture funds, hedge funds, miners, market makers and liquidity providers seeking direct control of their assets through self-custody.
Hashi’s mainnet is planned to roll out in phases later in Oct. 2026. More than $500 million in capital commitments had been announced as of Oct. 8 from a coalition of more than 20 companies, including BitGo, Bullish, Cumberland, FalconX and Ledger. The figure represents announced commitments, not confirmed deposits or live total value locked.
Hashi is designed to let users deposit BTC while keeping the asset on the Bitcoin network. The protocol issues hBTC on Sui against deposited BTC, then burns hBTC when users exit and releases the native BTC.
The infrastructure is intended to support lending, borrowing, credit, vaults, structured products and other Bitcoin-backed applications on Sui. BTC collateral uses a 2-of-2 multisignature structure involving Hashi validators and a Guardian Layer.
“Public companies and institutions hold enormous amounts of Bitcoin, but their ability to use that capital has been constrained by the technology available to them and the limitations of the DeFi space,” Nathan McCauley, CEO and co-founder of Anchorage Digital, said.
Anchorage also plans to provide stablecoin liquidity to Hashi, although the stablecoin, amount and delivery date were not specified.
“Bitcoin has already become a global reserve asset, and today, the financial infrastructure around it is catching up,” said Adeniyi Abiodun, co-founder and chief product officer of Mysten Labs, the original contributor to Sui.
The phased Hashi mainnet rollout is the next scheduled step, with no exact launch date or time specified.
